Indiana Coated Fabrics, Inc. (ICF) was founded in 1967 by William A. Haldewang (Bill Sr), a man well known for his integrity in the window shade and movie screen fabric industries. He began with one facility and grew into two facilities approximating 110,000 sq/ft. located in Warsaw, Indiana. These well maintained buildings house our three state of the art production lines enabling us to custom coat many base fabrics such as Fiberglass, Cotton, Polyester and Nylon. We utilize a multitude of water based coatings - Latex, Acrylics, Urethanes, Silicones, Neoprene and when specified proprietary customer-supplied coatings. In addition to these liquid coatings we also utilize various PVC and Urethane films. ICF’s exceptional fabrics are utilized in a variety of industries including Window and Wall Coverings, Projection Screen, Flexible Hose and Flame Resistance just to name a few. Today these fabrics are sold to quality minded customers around the globe by our in-house customer service team as well as our highly recognized outstanding sales representatives.
Our company’s reputation of quality and integrity was established by Bill Sr. but it has grown and flourished under his son Bill Jr. The company management was transferred to Bill Jr. in 1990 and sales have grown over 200% since. After nearly 40 years of dedicated service Bill Jr. saw the need to develop the next generation of management at which time he brought Tim Foster aboard as General Manager and promoted Dave Brettell to Plant Manager. Tim’s financial background and customer service orientation along with Dave’s production and technical experience have combined to make a winning management team. However, they cannot do it alone they rely on a combined team of over 45 dedicated employees, most of whom have at least 5 years of service and 3 with over 25 years of service.
As a result of our proven team success from the bottom up, Bill Jr handed over control of the company to his management team Tim & Dave in the summer of 2014. Tim earned the title of President and Dave, Vice President of Production and Research & Development. Even though Bill Jr. relinquished control he maintains the title of Chairman and stills reports to the office on a daily basis when in Warsaw.
